Radha Beauty: Vitamin C Serum & Retinol Moisturizer Reviews

I have been testing the Radha Beauty Vitamin C Serum and Retinol Moisturizer in conjunction for the past two weeks.  They are complimentary products and meant to be used together.

The Vitamin C Serum contains 20% Vitamin C  in the form of Absorbyl Phosphate, a form of ascorbic acid. The other active ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid. Vitamin C in skincare is very important , esp. for skin over the age of 35. Humans are the only mammals that do not produce their own within our bodies.  It is an anti-oxidant that can help protect against sun damage, fights free radicals, such as pollution, smoke and the sun itself . These free radicals actually can cause damage to our DNA , proteins and lipids in our skin causing our cells to die.

When you apply Vitamin C to the skin, it helps to stimulate collagen, provides sun protection and will also improve the skin’s tone and texture.  As for other benefits, it reduces any brown spots caused by aging or pregnancy and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and can help prevent their formation.  As stated in a previous post, Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of human skin , but does decrease as you age. It moisturizes, and aids in tissue repair as well as boosting collagen and elastin.

This product also contains Vitamin E and Green Tea.  It is meant to be used only once daily. Topical Vitamin C can be a very potent treatment.  As with most skincare treatments, you do not see immediate results, but over a period of 4-6 weeks, you will start to notice your wrinkles diminishing and any dark spots starting to fade.

The directions say to apply to skin and let dry for about 15 minutes. I did feel a tightening of the skin around that mark, then you are free to apply your moisturizer.  I find this Vitamin C serum penetrates the skin very quickly and I experienced no irritation whatsoever. However, I have used Vitamin C products in the past, so I may have built up somewhat of a tolerance to the ingredient.  As I stated, at the beginning,  I have not seen any visible results, but I have only been using it for two weeks.  I plan to continue using it as I do have several areas under my eye area with discoloration and have great hopes that this will fade these in time.  It comes in a pump dispenser and  any fragrance it has is very mild and disappears immediately.  It is a generous 1 oz size, and will last for several months of daily use.  It is available here at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PXDWR6O/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have been applying the Miracle by Radha Beauty Retinol Moisturizer day and night.  It contains 2.5 % of active retinol, Vitamin E and green tea. It is not a thick or heavy cream in the least. It also comes with a pump dispenser. I find that it instantly absorbs into the skin.  What I found interesting about the product was that, at first my skin did not feel as if I had applied a moisturizer whatsoever. However, after each application,  about an hour later, my skin felt very soft to the touch.  Perhaps in the winter time, you may need to apply a heavier cream in addition to this, if your skin is very dry.

Retinol is a source of Vitamin A and this can be used at any age. Again, if you are not used to products containing retinol, you may want to start slowly.  You should also wait at least 30 minutes before you expose your skin to the sun if you do not have an SPF makeup or other product on.  Retinol provides anti-aging benefits at a gradual pace. It exfoliates the skin by clearing away the dead skin cells and gives new cells a chance to grow. Your skin loses elasticity over time, so this will assist in collagen production. If used on a regular basis over a period of time, it will restructure your skin and encourage continual regeneration by making wrinkles recede and any facial discoloration begin to disappear.  Besides, having anti-aging benefits, this is also wonderful for those with acne, as it exfoliates and cleans the pores. If using for the first time, you may experience you skin sloughing off the dead cells within 10-15 minutes of treatment.  I recommend massaging your face to see if this is occurring before applying any makeup products. This product is a 1 oz sized bottle and a little goes a long way.  I look forward to seeing even better results in the coming weeks with the addition of this product and think it will make the perfect summertime moisturizer.  Here is the link to purchase if interested on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PG28B3A/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both products contain a money back guarantee and you even get to keep any remaining product! You simply have to contact the company and no questions asked , will be fully refunded your money. I think you will be impressed enough however, over time with your results and this will not be an issue. Honestly, how many companies are so confident in their products that they offer this kind of guarantee? Very few that I know of.

I received these products free for testing and an honest and unbiased review. All opinions are strictly my own. Powered by Brandbacker.
